Chapter 4 : The Adorable Twins
However, at that moment, he seemed to hear his mom''s voice again...
Joseph''s eyes darkened, but his face showed no sign of it. "I want to go in and take a look."
The two bodyguards hesitated, exchanging glances, looking troubled.
They knew Mr. Spencer had just instructed them to keep an eye on the woman inside.
Seeing their hesitation, Joseph felt even more suspicious that the person inside was his mom.
His face turned cold as he deliberately asked, "What, I can''t go in?"
Scott was the only child The Spencer Family doted on.
Offending him would not end well for them.
The bodyguards hesitated for a few seconds but eventually relented.
"Of course, Scott, you can go in."
"Hmph, that''s more like it."
Without hesitation, Joseph walked inside on his short legs.
As soon as he pushed open the lounge door, he saw Tiffany tied to the sofa armrest.
Sure enough, his mom was here!
Joseph''s expression changed instantly. He quickly ran over and started untying the ropes.
"Mom, are you okay?"
"I''m fine..." Tiffany shook her head, but her eyes were filled with confusion. "Joseph, how did you get here?"
And there were bodyguards outside. How did Joseph get in?
"I heard you calling for help."
Joseph paused, then asked, "Mom, why were you tied up here?"
"It''s a long story. Let''s get out of here first."
Tiffany''s eyes darkened slightly; she didn''t want to bring up Alex too much with the kids.
Seeing this, Joseph had no choice but to agree.
The front door was guarded by bodyguards, so that was definitely not an option.
Fortunately, the lounge had a window, and there were no bodyguards outside.
As they were about to leave, Joseph glanced around and noticed a small photo lying on the ground not far away.
The people in the photo looked vaguely familiar.
Joseph quickly walked over, picked it up, and saw that it was a photo of a father and son.
The resemblance between them was striking, making their relationship obvious at a glance.
But that wasn''t the most crucial part...
The most shocking thing was that the child in the photo looked exactly like him!
Joseph''s pupils dilated, and he stood there in shock.
He couldn''t help but recall the bodyguards calling him Scott, and in a flash, he understood something.
The man in the photo was very likely his biological father!
And the boy must be his brother!
Seeing him frozen in place for so long, Tiffany couldn''t help but ask, "Joseph, what''s wrong?"
Joseph was startled, his expression changing slightly, a strange light flashing in his eyes.
Over the years, Tiffany had always avoided talking about his biological father, either by staying silent or changing the subject.
It was clear she didn''t want to discuss it.
If he asked directly, he probably wouldn''t get the answers he wanted.
Joseph thought for a moment, quickly made up his mind, and put the photo in his pocket. He turned and smiled, "Nothing, Mom. I''ll be right there."
"Hurry up."
If the bodyguards found out, it would be trouble.
Joseph quickly followed Tiffany, and they both sneaked out of the lounge through the window.
Back at the venue, the product launch had already started. Tiffany found her daughter Stella, assigned her work to her assistant, and planned to leave with both kids.
After all, Alex was here, and she didn''t want him to see the children.
"Joseph, Stella, what do you want for dinner tonight? Mommy will cook for you," Tiffany asked gently, holding each child''s hand as they walked towards the exit.
Without thinking, Stella excitedly shouted, "Barbecue, of course!"
Tiffany chuckled and turned to ask her son.
"What about you, Joseph?"
Joseph frowned, not in the mood to talk about this because he thought he had just seen a familiar figure.
It seemed...
It was the boy from the photo he found in the lounge.
His expression changed slightly, and he immediately said, "Mom, I need to go to the bathroom. I''ll be back in a bit."
Tiffany paused, feeling a bit uneasy.
"I''ll go with you."
Joseph quickly refused, "Mom, I''m old enough to go by myself. You and Stella wait here. I''ll be back soon."
Without waiting for their reaction, he ran straight to the men''s restroom.
Joseph rushed in, only to find it empty. The person he thought he saw wasn''t there.
Joseph was stunned.
Had he been mistaken?
Feeling a bit disappointed, he suddenly heard a stall door open, and a little boy walked out.
Joseph instinctively looked up in that direction.
He saw a face that looked exactly like his own.
The air seemed to freeze at that moment as the two boys'' eyes met, both showing shock on their faces.
They stared at each other, as if looking into a mirror.
Joseph''s eyes lit up, and he was the first to react, "Are you Scott?"
It seemed he hadn''t mistaken the person earlier.
It was the weekend, and Scott, feeling bored, had come to the product launch with Alex.
He hadn''t expected to encounter something so bizarre.
Scott''s eyes were wary, his face cold, "Who are you?"
Joseph''s heart raced as he stepped forward and grabbed his hand. "There aren''t many people in this world who look exactly alike. We might be brothers."
